It depends on your version of "good"...one guy may see a nurturing, supportive and thoughtful woman as "good"...and another may just want a nymphomaniac who owns a liquor store!
So I think men and women need to communicate what they both are looking for honestly (and I'm sure the next Ice Age will arrive before that happens!!).
For example...a woman "honestly" would tell a guy..."I want a guy who listens and understands me and can put up with my different moods". And the guy may say "Well, I want a woman who will bring me beer and give me sex when I want it". Then if both think that isn't unreasonable requests...they have both found "good" partners.
However, the reality is more like a woman says "I want a guy who listens and understands me" and a guy will say "That sounds like me to a tee!!" (but he is thinking - damn...I can't wait to get her in the sack!". So the woman feels like the guy bullsh!tted her and their relationship goes down the tubes.

It's not hard to find a good woman, but it is hard to find a sane woman! LOL!

It isn't that hard. Before I married my wife, who is one excellent woman, I dated several other women that I would easily classify as good.

I do not think it is difficult to find one.....but it may be difficult to find only one. No one is perfect and sometimes we emphasize the negatives of the ones we love so much so that we go to someone else thinking they may be able to fill in the gaps. It is wrong, but many guys do it.

Because so many women are so wrapped up in crap they see on TV and crap they read in magazines they forget what is real and what is happening in the real world, not what some person is getting paid to publish in a magazine, or getting paid to talk about on TV.

It is due to evolutionary process. When women were "good", men treated them like dirt. So, women adapted in ways that they do not "need" a man anymore.. .. so they don't need to be "good" anymore to attract men..

Could it be look BEFORE you leap? I also think men settle for the first thing that comes along too often

Because it's so hard to match up what your typical male needs with what your typical female needs.
