Im a vegetarian, but eat dairy products and im on a healthy eating habit to loose weight from having my 2nd child. Im watching my calorie intake and eating smaller portions as well as more healthy foods. Im eating salads at least 1 a day, which include all salad and something different to go with it every time, such as, bread, pitta bread, wraps, egg, cheese, etc. But its getting a bit boring, has anyone got any ideas of foods i can eat with my salads please, which are good for you and low in calories. Thanks.

OK, try cutting and slicing whatever veggies you like. (for me, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, carrots, celery, and squash, but it'll work for pretty much any veggie). You take your veggies, add some seasoning, some Italian dressing (you can go with the low cal kind), wrap it all up in heavy duty aluminum foil or one of those foil oven bags, and then put it on the grill on a low setting, or in the oven @ 325 for about 45 minutes. Boy is that tasty, try different seasonings for taste. Good Luck.

When I was living in Spain My x boyf made me a salad I'm not a fan but it was lush. Not sure how healthy though, However i have just joined Weight watchers and i recommend it. I go alone its OK
back to the salad
Rocket, watercress and spinach leaves tossed in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
grapes in 1/2 or 1/4 (depending)
Pomegranate bits
all mixed up and topped with either Warm Goats Cheese Or Feta cubes. Sounds odd but its really nice give it a go.

For in your pittas, egg mayo with a differents with some cheese and onion added to the egg and mayo is nice.
Pomegranet seeds and toasted seeds such as sun flower seeds is nice in the salad.
Veggie Sushi. Really easy to make. By the seaweed sheets from Tescos, the sushi rice, rice vinegar and japanese mirin and just put peppers, cucumber and spring onions in the centre. Make sure you get the pickled ginger and soya sauce to go with it! You can get the whole sushi making range from big tescos, also waitrose does it and selfridges. It is yummy and real low in fat.
Also big field mushrooms stuffed with flavoured cous-cous and with a little bit of cheese on baked in the oven for 10 mins.

I love putting things live olives, sundried tomatoes, and feta cheese with my salad. I quite like the cooked BBQ or Tikka chicken which you can get from supermarkets too.

Sorry forgot the veggie bit! Forget the chicken!

attempt BBQ sanwinches, make some cheese and onion sanwiches with tomatos aswell and then in simple terms warmth them up on the BBQ so as that the cheese soften and the bread starts to get brownish, that is truly useful, then ofcourse your potatos in tin foil that you position on the coles and change from time to time.We continually have some propper South African sausages and sosaties that we've even as something else of the BBQ is busy, for variety a like a starter. the finest ones i have had is made equivalent to this. I dont understand in case you already know what a Sosatie is yet you're making it like this. you want a stick, like those you take advantage of to burn marshmellows with and then you're taking small products of comfortable meat and placed slightly on the stick then slightly of writer 1st baron verulam that you in simple terms rap and stick it on then slightly of meat then slightly spring onion and slightly of meat and so that you bypass on till the stick is complete.Dip it in an quite useful BBQ sause and spice it nicely and practice dinner it on the BBQ that is truly useful.Garlic bread is continuously a winner. Now i'm hungry, my associates is likewise having a BBQ this evening yet I even might want to bypass and artwork.8) Bon apetite.relish

try fruit salads
those are always good
and low cal.

Spice up your salads
with diff vegetables
such as pea pods, corn cabbage

or grill some vegetables
with lemon juice and put them all together

or oven fried vegetables and
then put them with a regular salad
just to liven the tastes a little bit

This is one of my favorites. You can use canned or fresh tomatoes (I switch between both), colored peppers, snow peas or sugar snap peas and whatever herbs you like. Saute them in a nonstick pan or with a touch of olive oil, add the herbs, and use red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar to give it just a tang of flavor. You can really use whatever veggie, only use two veggies, and it's so versatile and delicious.

Crumbled or grated cheeses, flavored croutons, avacados, frozen peas, canned corn, olives, nuts, boiled eggs, different types of lettuce, crumbled tortilla chips. Try different flavored rice vinegars to put on it. You can put it all in a bread bowl or tortilla shell.
