My friend in FL had two roaming the area around his place. He fed them dog food. Some feed stores have exotic bird food for exotic birds such as peacocks, ducks, ect. Peacocks like to roam and roost in trees. My friends' house was 2 stories and the peacocks would come to the second story deck to eat. He put the food high as there were animals that would attack the birds, such as dogs, cats and alligators. Good luck.

I have heard a peacock the last few days when I have been in my garden. Maybe you live near me!
Feed it bird seed. Corn, stuff like that.

Call the RSPCA, in the meantime try to keep it in the area by offering grain and a bowl of water. Brown bread will do if theres nothing else. They roost at night so try to find out where it goes, it might be easier to catch with a strong torch.

If you are in the UK, then fear not, it is a common problem, many people keep peacocks and peahens as pets and they do sometimes escape, call the RSPCA (See yellow pages or phone book. Failing that dial 118118) and let them know where it is.

Definitely contact Animal Control or your local zoo.
It's not pet material & should be placed at a zoo, where the keepers have experience dealing with this species.

I think they can fly short distances...I'd ring the police or Animal welfare organisation because the owner is probably looking for him....They are really expensive to buy & not your average sort of bird

Call animal control and let them capture it and take it someplace (like a zoo) where it can be cared for properly!
