LOOKING TO FIND SPACERS THAT FIT BETWEEN A WOOD TABLE TOP & GLASS I HAD CUT TO FIT THE TOP.

you can find them at bed bath and beyond or home depot - maybe even target. I got rubbery/silicone ones. - don't get the felt.

Glass should not be that expensive.Have you actually gotten a quote ? If you did, did you explain that your table had a bottom and a solid support to lay on so they weren't looking at heavy glass that had to stand on it's own ? I do not know how large your table is but if it is not too larger you can go to a picture frame place and ask what their glass prices are. If glass is too expensive then resin would be the next thought but you never know how it will set up as you said.How about a polymer or some sort of a marine product but they could be expensive also. I think your best bet is glass.The other ideas could or could not work then you have spent a lot of money and ruined your project.

I used cork from a wine bottle, just cut pieces to about 1/4" thick or whatever size you want and place between the wood and the glass
