no, quite the opposite actually. It will burn, then burn some more. eventually all that used to be an eye will become a dried out scab of heinous irritation. I wouldn't recommend doing it but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

You would not be able to melt it, because of the pain of the burning sensation you will pull away before it starts to burn.
