Congratulations!

Go to the social security site http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ to get the lists of most popular baby names. This way you can decide to pick something popular, or less popular. We really tried to avoid the popular names (although we did like Ryan which was up there). Our two boys are Mitchell and Trevor.

For our first child, we didn't find out the gender ahead of time and chose a male and female name so we were ready. For our second child we did find out and had a small list ready.

--Jeff (father of 2 boys).

How exciting! Congrats! I hope all goes well.

I like Ara Christina, Milena(Ma lei na), Jeana (G-anna), and Kathryn for girls
Alexander Michael, Jake (even though it is so overused), and Walter for boys

Just don't use some freaky or cutsie thing-I mean, who's heard of CEO Brandie (pole dancer name) or President Kwain (rope smoker)? You need a classic, stand the test of time, good for youth and old age, still sounds hip in 2087 (when your child will be in their 80s) name. Good luck.

It would help to know if your expecting a boy or a girl. Do you have a favorite character from a book? A family name with some meaning to you?

Kind of depends...if it is a boy you don't want to give the name Melissa.

However, you don't really want to give the name Brian to a girl.

You'll have to think about that...

My children's names are Seth and Connor. If we'd had a girl we were going to name her Elizabeth.
