I can't cook to save my life, and I've had enough ramen and mac n cheese to last me a lifetime. I'm looking for some different things I can cook for myself and eat this summer.

Does anyone know of any easy recipies that I can make? They don't have to be made in a microwave....but it is my method of choice. lol.

I hope you're aware of the dangerous effects microwaves have on food. Microwaves zap nutrients and can change the molecular structure of foods, and that surely isn't healthy.

The first source I listed is of an episode I saw on the Food Network--it was dedicated to cooking with the microwave. There are a few recipes there.
The last two sources are about the dangers of microwave ovens. They are long, yet worth the read.

Go to Goodwill or Salvation army or any flea market and pick up a cheap hometown cookbook. It will cost you anywhere from a dollar to 3 dollars. In these cookbooks are all the recipe's from people that want to share easy recipes that they use and are tried and true. If you can read you can cook! Follow the recipes and you will build your confidence. Microwaves are good for some things but not to eat out of totally and fresh ingredients are the best!

I prefer cold meals in the summer, but occasionally I will have a Panini Sandwich from Lean Cuisine cooked in the microwave, they are quite good and very filling.

You can make a baked potato in the microwave. clean the potato, wrap it in plastic and poke holes in it the holes are extremely impt or else the potato will explode. put it in the microwave for about 3-5 minutes depending on the size of the potato. othewise stick to salads and caned soups.

are you opposed to frozen dinners? Ethnic Gournet makes a lot of great frozen dinners that are ready within about 5 minutes, right out of your microwave.

My personal favorite is pad thai with tofu.
