I switched to Canidae about 2 & a half years ago. I have always fed quality kibbles, but Canidae is the best i have fed,
My oldsters are acting younger, and my yougsters have just bloomed as never before.
My vet said that my 10 year old's blood work was what he would expect from a 4-5 year old...And her teeth didn't even need cleaned.

My dogs are fed freshly cooked chicken thighs and a kibble made by Diamond called Nutra Nuggets. It is a Lamb and Rice formula and is supplemented with glucosamine and chondroitin to enhance joint health. (Having lost one dog to a blown ACL makes this a high priority for me!)
It also contains the appropriate Omega Fatty Acid Ratios which aid in overall health and provide a healthy and shiny coat. I add the chicken to enhance the flavor and the juices from cooking help soften the kibble, making it easier to chew and digest.
I've included a link to the food as source.
FYI -- One of the WORST foods on the market is WalMart's Old Roy. It is primarily horse meat and by-product. In fact, the food is one of MANY commercial dog foods that has tested positive for containing traces of Phenobarbital, which means it has euthanized animal by-product in it as an extensive ingredient. This study was undertaken because many vets were finding it more and more difficult to put dogs under for surgery and it was directly linked to the food fed and the ingredients found in those foods. In all cases, the dogs that were most difficult to put under for surgery were being fed dog foods high in animal by-product and with traces of Phenobarbital found in the food.
You get what you pay for....

Preimum Edge
It contains no by products it has no corn or wheat or soy in it.
It has fresh never frozen meat in it.
It has all the vitimins and minerals a dog needs plus it has condroition and gulcosamine in the food so you do noth ave to give that as a suppliment.
I have fed this product for years and my dogs look great.
Most of all I like the fact the is it rated as one of the better food available on the market.

My favorite dog food would be Canidae. It is much healthier for your pet than for example science diet because you don't have all that animal by products which is unhealthy for your pet.
My Doberman was on iams and she had skin allergies so bad were it looked like she was in a dog fight and as soon as we changed her food to Canidae it all cleared up and never came back.
They also make a cat food called Felidae and we feed it to our pregnant and nursing female Siamese and we have never had any birth defects.

While I don't actually partake in the eating of my dogs food, she prefers the brand at Wal-mart, OL-Roy. It is in a bright green bag, can't remember the name excpet it has (or claims to have) veggies in it. It is the only food we have found where she wont eat her "Stuff." We have tried Beniful and that was the worst..
I reccomend though that you pick a better diet for yourself...j/k LOL

Personally I never tasted any kind, but I prefer to buy Eukanuba for my dogs because it's main ingredient is chicken (or beef or whatever) not by-products like most brands! My dogs love it too and they have been very healthy!

my favorite food to feed my dog is chicken soup for the dog lovers soul. it is a holistic food which is much more healther for your dog. science diet is full of chemicals to preserve the food which is known by science diet to cause cancer in dogs and cats.

Flint River Ranch
It is by mail order only
It has no Preservatives and "Human Grade meat" meaning they don't give the dogs the yucky meat they wouldn't feed to humans.
Also it has no artificial colors.
