Canada is a really, really big country. Can you be a little more geographically precise?

Winnipeg would be more affordable than the other three cities. It looks like around $800 to $1000 for a three bedroom.

I wouldn't suggest Montreal unless you're fluent in French. Toronto is crazy expensive and you'd end up living an hour outside the city and taking the train everywhere (which can go on strike at any moment).

Try Welland Ontario, very inexpensive, $650/month for 3 bedroom townhouse, 20 minute drive from Niagara Falls

Winnipeg is going to be the cheapest but you will likely need a job to pay the rent. Where are you going to work? What type of work are you going to do?

i can tell you that between calgary and golden aren't any reasonably priced apartments for rent, they are all way too much!!!
