IRAQ - Front line solutions?

This is more of a statement than a question..
I say we take all of the hard core criminals in jail today, ship them to Iraq, put them on the front lines and let them be productive members for their country. Taking up jail space, 3 meals a day, weight room, computers, cable tv, library, etc...not really suffering is it?
It would solve our overcrowding in jails
Assist in military might
Keep reserves home
They can learn how to live correctly in the military
Any complaints about this solution?

As for the help them not hurt them answer. The press just tells you about the bad things not the good. There is far more great things that dont get reported going on, The criminals get out of control what wil happen? Are they going to shoot eachother? What would be the point of that? It's the perfect solution.

yeah i have a few problems with it, besides the fact that the military doesnt allow ppl who have been in jail to serve and the fact that its a HUGE violation of the 6th ammendment.

heres a little situation i thought of:

general: here are the super secret plans of the military, that if put in the wrong hands could destroy us all.

terrorist: lemme see the plans and ill give u $ 100,000
CON:ok, since im a low life who hates everyone.

If people don't want to be in the Military, they'll find a way out but either way, could we really trust some cons w/ m-16's and hope they aren't sabateurs? It would be a great idea if military service were an alternative to jail/prison time but these particulars would have to be closely monitored. Btw, there is no "front line" in Iraq. Those people just booby traps roads and strap bombs and to random people and they walk into someplace and then "BOOM"...so it might work if we had a front line but basically yeah, some cons could sure keep some of our good guys home..

Another way would be to nuke Iraq. That would "liberate" them. It would also save working class tax payers $2 trillion in taxes since Republicans never pay for their own mistakes.
