Yes, there is a solution to your problem.
Go for a manual one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. The pressure on your spine will be distributed much better, so the body can heal itself. Also the scoliosis should practically disappear, within some months. The effect is simply amazing.
Just - the treatment is available in California and Europe only, costing approx. 220 dollars. It's really worth travelling far - own experience. :-)

I had severe spinal curvature as I was growing up, but it was corrected by wearing a brace from age 13-15. However, that was more than 20 years ago, so I'm sure that the technology has changed a lot since that time. I'd suggest talking to an orthopedic surgeon. Continued problems could interfere with your internal organs unless your curvature is corrected. My mother had a friend die back in the '80s because her spinal curvature displaced proper positioning of her organs and severely strained their function. I'd suggest checking out the Google search link below. Good luck.

my friends sister had scoliosis and she had a surgery done to fix it, she was 16 at the time and hers wasn't that bad of a case. also, there are some cases requiring to ware a brace (the Milwaukee brace), but i think those are used in more saver cases. anyway, after she had the surgery her doctor told her she needs to exercise, it"ll also ease the pain, she did a lot of swimming and aerobics. ask your doctor about this it may help you as well.

Maybe it is time to consider treating the cause... there are specific reasons for increased curvature of the spine.. which comes about for the purpose of keeping the head directly above the feet.. I am sure you are aware of some parts of your body which indicate there is something not in balance..Such simple things like the tilting of the head to one side.. one shoulder longer than the other, navel not under your nose, one hip higher than the other.. lots of visible signs to consider.

If the curve is extreme and the MDs deem it necessary then there is corrective surgery in which they drill and place rods on both sides of your spinal column. I know a nursing buddy that has scoliosis and she's lives fine...granted I doubt she is in as much pain as you are in.

Yoga is the answer. Take yoga a lot and become a yoga teacher. My yoga teacher had bad scoliosis and corrected it by making her muscles so strong. By being a yoga person.
Don't count on doctors - they can't solve it. But you can by becoming a yoga expert.
If you have a choice, i'd say start with hatha yoga.

that's gay, a curve is a curve whether its a big one or a small one, if they see that there is indeed a curve and you're telling them that it's painful...you should get a second opinion.
