I actually just proposed to my boyfriend while we were on vacation in Paris. He isn't the romantic type so I figured he wouldn't even consider the fact that we were on our way to the most romantic city in the world. I had planed to ask him while having dinner in the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower but there were no available reservations. So, I booked us for a evening dinner and dance boat cruise on the Seine River which left from just below the Eiffel Tower. The dinner was absolutely fabulous and so was the atmosphere. When dessert arrived, I told him not to touch it and produced a little box, which I also told him not to touch. I took out a letter to read to him (which I then proceed to ball my eyes out because I was so emotional). I read him the letter which ended with "Will You Marry Me?". And then told him to open the box (which had a picture of a gold watch to be picked up when we got home). He was floored and so happy. He said he had been thinking about us getting engaged but just couldn't come up with the right way to do it. It was the most amazingly romantic evening ever. When the boat docked we walked around the Eiffel Tower as it is so romantic because it sparkles on the hour every hour for about 5-10mins. Its amazing.
When we got home he told me that I wouldn't be getting an engagement ring until later because he wanted to surprise me. Well about a month and a half later we are walking on the beach during the evening and he gets down on one knee and proposes. I was totally shocked because I didn't know how he had gotten the ring without me knowing.
So we had a double proposal so I think that has to be the most romantic way to go.
Good luck!

It is up to each person's tastes. I'm a romantic sap but my husband isn't. Never has been and prolly never will be. He likes his cuddles but all the mushy stuff he can go without. So when he proposed to me in the most romantic way he knew how (sunset, lakeshore, spur of the moment, hollywood kind of thing) it was great. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Although I'm a ham, I don't think I would have swooned as much over having it on the overhead at a sporting event. Or having the ring hidden in a cake at some fancy restaraunt. It came from my hubby's heart and that's what made it romantic for me.
That is totally up to each person's tastes.

Not during an obvious holiday like Valentine's Day. Catching the person completely by surprise is probably the key here and it's not special if you just did it on a designated "love day". If it were me, an exotic location would also be best like the foreign country that your loved one has always wanted to go to or London. In the end, always remember, no pets, no other people (being rejected would be 50 times as hard on you) and it's the commitment between just the two of you, so DON'T SCREW IT UP!

The best way too propose is firstly go to there favorite place ,secondly have the right mood set and thirdly express your love for that special person and finally pop the big question. In my opinion the most romantic way is the way that comes from your heart.

It can be done 2 ways a cheap way and a expensive way. #1 try your best to get her along and if the mood is right and you have her in a room with no one around both of you get down on your knees and you say "now that i have you along and on my level it would be in my best interest to keep you and to have you in my life for as long as we both live then you say Will you make me the most appreciative man on earth and be mines forever." #2 get a hotel room w/ a hot tub and put her favorite color roses all over the room inside the tub, bed, and on the floor on the way in you can do this part 2 ways blind fold her or have one of her friends think your at a hotel when your suppose to be somewhere else, when she get there have her get in the tub no questions ask and have the ring inside something in the tub at the bottom, then you go from there.

is different for every girl. What one thinks is romantic will be corney to another. You have to go with what you think is romantic. Think about what kind of story you want to tell your kids, about how you proposed to their Mother. Good Luck!

My fiance proposed to me at Sleeping Beauty's castle in Disneyland. While I knew he had bought the ring he did it on his birthday, probably the one day I wasn't expecting it. The trip to Disney was his birthday gift. It's all in the delivery and about creating a memory.

The way I see it...
having a man that you love who decides to spend the rest of his life loving only you is as romantic as it gets.
