By sex you must mean intercourse - and, of course, it's not. Shelter, hydration and nutrition - that's "necessary" ...the rest is gravy. And with so many people being celibate (although you'd never know it from THIS website), it's not all that necessary to enjoying your life.

I would say no, but when you consider the people who have taken a vow of chastity and wind up molesting children (I know its not all of them) maybe it is necessary for the most part.

It just might be true that all health problems disappear when you have a lot of sex.You would have to study it.
