check your local newspaper website. your local library might have copies of recent issues of the newspaper. then look for the obituararies.

you can look at www.ssdi.rootsweb.com ...it is free. You just put in the persons last name, middle initial, and first name. If you know their Social Security Number that will help also on this website. I work in a law firm and use this site regularly.

local new papers sometimes have the obituary's on there websites and you can go back a few weeks.
