I know it is a stimulant, but it is widely used to help constrict the brain's blood vessels in order to stay focussed on intensive exercises. What do you guys think/heard about its benefits as a supplement?

Depends upon who you talk to...Some say yes it has anti toxins in it. Others say no because it causes your body to retain fat, increases your heart rate and activates the sugars in your kidneys (that's why you don't feel hungry) I even had one instructor tell me that he won't drink it because even though some of it is good for you there is something like 220 unknown chemicals in coffee. I personally say most things are good for you in moderation. I am a one cup a day person. Oh and don't forget some people get really addicted to the caffeine.

Mostly, no. It doesn't energize you -- it just tells your brain you are not really tired. Too much for too long and it's bad news.
