probably freecycle. everything is free. also craig's list.
Used furniture is cheapest. Try a thrift store or especially garage sales. If you go to a college town in may when school gets out you can pick up a buttload of furniture for almost nothing. Because people are moving out and can't take it with them (no moving truck).

Why go online unless you are buying new the shipping will kill you. If you are buying used then go to the Goodwill , yard sales newspaper ads etc. and remember that you can paint or recover anything.
