I'm new to this answer thing :) but most people don't put their picture up because of low self esteem issues. They don't want to be judged by the reader based upon their looks. But I'm kind of wondering why that's an issue for you since this is not a singles forum? LOL Anyway, I have to see how I add my own picture if I don't have one!

It's not being shy it's for safety reasons. Like one of the first answers, how do I know that's really you. While you're at it proving it to me psot your SSN, address, phone number and any account information that you have. That way everybody and any body can just move into your life with or without you consent. It's all for the sercurity and comfort so we can sleep at night. (Haha) Though I have a feeling you already answered your question.

I am asking pretty candid questions here, I don't want someone who knows me to realize what has been going on in my life, some of it is pretty private and intimate. And when it comes to the answers I give to some question (which is more time consuming to track), boy, I don’t even want to be remind myself how open I was.

I agree it does make a difference. I also wonder if I get more best answers chosen because of it. It's like you seem more real to people when you have your pic there instead of an avatar

I have pics either myself or friends have made for me to represent ME .. Never shy here, just have to ask and i'll show pic. My art is more personal and shows you whats inside me.

I think my avatar is cute...I don't want people seeing my real picture there is alot of weirdos on the Net you know...Even though my real picture would be just as cute...I don't know I guess it's just a personal decision!!!
