Have you ever seen the wind? You may have seen the effects of the wind, but have you ever seen the wind? Does that mean that it doesn't exist?

They can say it because they do NOT think about what they are saying.

You can make the same assertion about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you have not seen with your own two eyes.

I've never actually BEEN to Antarctica. I've never seen it with my own two eyes. I've never felt the cold, touched the ice and snow, heard the gales. Since all the evidence I have for its existence is second or third hand and all of it could be faked or lies, I must take its existence on faith. But by their reasoning, since I have not myself experienced its reality, Antarctica does not, therefore exist.

I HAVE been to Agra, India. I have seen, touched, even smelled the Taj Mahal. It exists. But if any of those of whom you speak have never been there, then they must take my words of the Taj's existence on faith or someone else's words who claims to have been there, or deny its reality altogether.

It always falls back on one of two things. YOU experience it or you take it on faith. Pity they can take so much on faith, but not this, the most important thing of all.

For some, seeing is believing, they need evidence of such a being. For others its a case of,if there is a God,why is the world so full of evil, why does starvation still affect some parts of the world? All of these questions. My answer to them is that most of the events that occur in this world are normally man made!Man is the doer of many evil! No, I've never seen the wind, and yes I feel it,but how do you feel God? what does that feel like?It doesn't mean he doesn't exist,it just means I haven't felt him. Most humans need evidence, plain and simple.

I DO NOT say this. I don't believe in god because I have read the bible, been to church, done research and to me the most logical conclusion is there is not god. The bible was written by man and contradicts itself over and over again. If god is all knowing why did he create a race that would sin? Why does the theory of evolution makes so much sense? I could go on and on but it doesn't matter. you don't understand what I believe and I don't understand why you believe. That is the way it always will be so leave it at that.

AMEN sister

God is like the wind. Invisible. You can't see the wind, but you CAN see the effects of the wind--the grass blowing. Our eyes and minds cannot directly address the divine. but by chosing our "grass" carefully, we can see which way the wind blows.

Breath is similar. It is an invisible life force within us. God is like the wind that moves outside of us and the breath that moves inside of us. We are in God, even as God is also within us.

The way of imagining God sees God as close at hand, right here, as close to us as our own breath. It sees the religious life not as believing in a God who may or may not exist, but as entering into a relationship with the God who is "right here."

PRAISE BE THE NAME OF OUR MIGHTY GOD, LORD AND SAVIOR

God exist in my heart soul and mind.People rely on visibility too much.I have had too many experiences of spritual intervention to know there is a higher power.Premonitions that out exceed the here and now.as an example why do we know that we are going to lose a loved one???or why do we know that we are going to crash in a vehicle???Clairvoyence is not of this world.

You're wrong. People don't say that God doesn't exist JUST because they can't see him. Key word: Just. The fact that they cannot see God is one of many evidences for why God doesn't exist.

You can't see the wind, but you can still physically feel it. You can't see oxygen, but theres ways of physically detecting it.

People end up using that arguement for the same reason others use the argument that "you just have to have faith".

if there's to be an unquestionable material evidence to the existence of God, the concept of faith itself would collapse and life wouldn't be a test anymore. Everything would effectively lose its meaning.
