Why do ppl frm Southern India esp tamil nadu fail to learn hindi?...even though it is our national language...

hey Confused....

who is mixing language and patriotism...a person who knows hindi can survive in any part of the country can survive with hindi language but for this state...its a fact....and many of us have experienced it...its just my question y ppl dnt make an attempt...is it an attitude issue or wat? if ppl are patriotic they shud know our national language atleast i believe so...dnt u guys believe so.......thts true for any country....

It's just that they are not interested to do so. I live in Visakhapatnam which is in andhra pradesh . But, here you would find more hindi speaking people than telugu. One of the reasons is that as this place is an industrial area people from all over the country come here. In this situation people learn the language as the localites are very few when compared to people from other states

People learn things based on need and not necessarily to please some law. If learning a new language does not benefit someone in their day to day life, it is not going to happen and it is foolish to force them to learn it. I guess these days it pays off to learn English than hindi.

I'm a Tamilian & I speak fluent Hindi without an accent.I don't think ppl fail, it's just that they don't try.It sure is our national language but will u please STOP MIXING PATRIOTISM WITH LANGUAGE???
