When we actually live in accordance with God, our outward appearance will also change because of it. Though God does look at the heart, he does have some guidelines for our dress code. We are supposed to be modestly dressed, and not adorn ourselves in such a way that we attract negative attention. But like I said if we actually follow him, our appearance will reflect it.

I don't think so. I think dressing up for church is a traditional thing we(humans) made up. Note: I do feel better about my day if I'm dressed to the nines, but it has nothing to do with my love of God. But then again it may, if we are all connected spiritually to the Creator wouldn't it be a dis to Him if we were to carry ourselves in any other way but the best way we know how? "Just as I am without one plea..."--but we are also the "temple of the Holy Spirit"---This is a tricky question, bottom line is take good care of yourself and don't abuse the "temple" God has entrusted you with.

Not as far as physical appearance goes. He created you so it would be a good idea to take care of what he has given us but I think God is more concerned with our hearts.

If God cared about the way we look or dress, he would not have allowed people to have diseases that cripple or deform the way we look on the outside. I think it's a shame that some people would think that outside appearance mattered when it's all about what is in your heart that counts.

God cares about how we look, as He wants the best for His children. But He will never condemn anybody for their appearance.

No, only on the inside. Some people get all dressed up put on makeup and all that because they say they are bringing God their best. Kind of when me and my husband go out on a date. Anyway God judges our hearts! God Bless You

No: "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man loks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (- 1 or 2 Samuel something...) However he does want us to take care of our bodies...read Bible for further details...

Why this strange question ? Ask yourself, Your senses are all looking outward (Eyes,Ears,Mouth,Hands etc.,). But, you are supposed to look inward about your self-realisation. God doesnot really care about ones appearance. If you surrender on to him and become the servitor. The mood to be surrender on to him. Hare Krishna

Your beauty should not come outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes,Instead,it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God to make themselves beautiful. 1Peter 3; 3-5.

God doesn't look at us from our outside appearance, He looks at us from what's inside of us. He cares what's inside of us and if we are dirty from sin or washed clean by the blood of Jesus.
