Being a diabetic myself.....I use Splenda almost every day. But I use it in moderation. I have heard of people having stomach problems from consuming too much of it. I found that Aspartame is bad because it causes many different problems for people.....(migraines, stomach aches, cancer, and ADHD symptoms) Sacrine can be just as bad. Splenda...as far as I know doesn't have any of those side effects. I am sure that you can find all sorts of articles about Splenda and other sweeteners that say that they are bad for you and they cause this and that.....but every persons body is different. Just because one person reacts to something....does not mean that everyone else is going to. Hell I am allergic to Tylenol......but you don't see me going out and telling everyone that it is bad for you because my body reacted to it badly. Remember though.....everything in moderation...nothing is good for you if you consume too much of it.

There is no proof that it is harmful however there was no prood that trans fats were harmful until it was proven that they were. Asparatame has always been known to cause cancer in lab mice but only in huge doses over a long period of time and technically the same could be said for milk, tomatoes, apples and nearly anything. The harmful effects of sugar are numerous and well documented. Wether you choose a high calorie refined sugar or a calorie free chemical replacement there are potential risks and no known bennefits so the best thing is to avoid them all as much as possible. On the other hand if you have to choose one I would say splenda because it has no calories and it tastes a lot better than asparatame.

Spenda is a natural sugar that your body cannot metabolze into glucose thus rendering it useless for calories but still tastes good, it is perfectly safe(though can cause a little diarrhea if you consume large quantities) unlike saccharin or aspartame

Anything that's been refined as far as those substitutes have is bound to be bad for you. The best sweeteners are the least refined ones.

Reports always vary on somthing like this. With most things, as long as it's in moderation, it should be ok.

no one is able to determine that yet.
Short-term research has proven it is better than regular sugar, but long-term is unvailable due to the newness of its devealopment.

I heard it's horrible. At least with sugar, if you exercise, it won't stick to you.
