WTF...How could you let this happen? I don't give a s*** what any doctor says, GET HIM TO HIS DOCTOR. I will email you the number.
It will probably dissolve, but it definitely needs checked out. Thank you for taking him to the doctor.

I would still take him to get checked. That would make me as a parent feel better. Plus don't you think that when it does start to dissolve it will cause some discomfort because it is a mint.

well....you won't need to worry about ur kid gagging over something that smells bad for a few days. The ER is right, it will dissolve...but if you really want, you can easily take him to the doctor to remove it. Other wise i'd keep him away from the mints...before he shoves one in the other nostral.

Maybe a trip to the Dr. will be the scare he needs to not stick things up there again. Be glad it was a mint. Some kids stick small batteries (like for watches) up there and that is BIG trouble.
Good Luck!

Yes i think u should! Know what i know u shouls because u are a parent that is really concerned in your child so any parent will still take any extreme measures just to provide the best minimum health for their child. No matter what a nurse tells u what ever your heart tells u to do then u should do it. But im just saying on my behalf but go do it on to what your insticts tell u!!!!!

Ouch! I bet that is burning his little nose. Is there another ER you can take him to? They will have to help you once you are there. If they wont get it out after you go, at least you can tell his parents you did the right thing and nothing else could be done.

Have him drink some warm water or breathe in some steam, and it'll dissolve faster. Little kids are always shoving stuff up their noses-he'll be fine.

I was an answering service operator, when another operator got an emergency call like this one. I had a good laugh. The mothers in the room said "Aw, it's just normal for little kids."

i did this a lot when i was little. try holding some pepper under his nose, it should make him sneeze. if that doesn't work maybe use some saylene drops if you have them or use a dropper with water. it might help it desolve faster. just 2 drops or so at a time. it should desolve, though, on it's own. it will probably only cause a little discomfort, he'll be ok.

if the nurse says you don't need to bring him in don't mints will dissolve so it'll just be a waste of money to bring him in to get checked out.
