I think they put it there for decorative purposes and is it safe for eating, cause I always do.

What you do is your business. It's mostly for decorative use, but I hate to waste anything when you think about all the starving people in the world.

No that is there as a garnish! Oh, and typically it isn't cilantro it's italian flat leaf parsley, they look identical but taste very different!

it is there for decorative purposes but you can eat it if you want to it's totally safe

I think you are speaking of endive or parsley , it will not hurt you , it is edible
