I went to the dentist last week and I had 5 cavities (although I hadn't been for quite a long time before that).

What's the most number of cavities you've ever had at one time? And what's the most number of fillings you've had done at one time?

19 all at once... seriously (and I hadn't been in 7 years!) I brushed too - just had bad teeth =(

The most fillings done in one visit was 5,4,5,5.

Apparently flossing really is a big deal. ;-)

I had medicine as a child which destroyed all my enamel. Even so, the most cavitities at once was 3. My top front 6 teeth ended up like crazy paving though, so I had all 6 capped at once, it took 4 hours of drilling, and 12 injections up the front gums - I had to do the the loo half way through, so I had a smile in the mirror, looked like a vampire gone wrong. The worst thing was a gingivectimy though, 6 painful injections, then they slice the top layer off your gums, To protect them whilst they heal, they are then coated in a clear plastic resin. You end up with bits coming off each time you eat - horrible,

At age 48-I have never had a cavity. My son, who is almost 20, has never had any either. (But I have horrible vision...guess it's
a tradeoff somewhere!)

2, but they weren't cavities yet, they were holes in my molars that they filled so they wouldn't decay in the future

i had a couple of large holes but these were caused by my wisdom teeth growing in at the wrong angle and destroying the teeth in front (they were growing into the teeth in front) i also had to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at the same time as a result of this (a very painful gladly never top be repeated expereince)
