can anyone tell me how long it would take mail to get from London to the USA.?

I was always told that it was a week from here to Kansas, but I have sent stuff in the past and it has been there in four days.

I live in New Mexico, USA and my parents live on the southern coast of England. Naturally, we mail things back and forth a great deal. Most letters get here in about 8 days when sent airmail, but when I lived in Florida it was only 6 days on average. Strangely, packages sent airmail tend to get here a day faster than regular mail - can't imagine why!

Anything sent surface mail (which means it's coming on a ship, not an airplane) gets here in about 5 weeks (except at Christmas when everything takes longer). Packages going to England from the USA usually take 6-7 weeks surface mail, and 10-12 days via airmail.

By the way, if you sent anything back to the little boy, make sure you ask the Post Office to put stamps on the envelope/package, rather than the generic white postage strip their machines generate. They'll be happy to as long as they know upfront that you want actual stamps. It is so much more fun as a child to get interesting postage stamps on incoming mail from foreign countries.

Depends how you mail it. If you use UPS, it could take as little as 3-4 days, but otherwise, it will take 2-3 weeks, at least. The max would be around 3.5 weeks
