Could we all get together and not pray to our imaginary god that christians (and other religious nuts) will stop trying to pray for us? I think if we combine all our non-prayers together, our Non-god will hear us and negate their silly prayers.

Can I get an AMEN?

Spiritual Warrior - No I'm not married and even if I was, what does your god have to do with anything? There are secular marriages all the time. Do you know what a Justice of the Peace is?

we could never stop praying for you atheists.
god wants us to continue praying for you all.
no matter how many of u want us to stop praying for you all, it would never happen.
god still & will always love you. he died upon that cross for all you atheists too. what kept christ on that cross was the LOVE he has for all of us.
either we need to get right, or get left.
there is a heaven & a hell.
they're real.......right now you're blinded by your own foolishness. satan wants u 2 believe that there's no god that exists so he can take your soul strait to hell.
if you'd read the bible, you'll learn the truth.
remember: Jesus is the way, the truth & the life/light.
god does hear all your silly prayers too.
he hates the sin, but loves the sinner.
you need jesus.......
amen to that.........

I'm an athiest and I disagree with your stance. I know that, in my mind and heart, their prayers are all for not. But, I know that they have good intentions in praying for me. They believe that my "soul" is going to go to super awful bad land when I die and they like me well enough to wish that this would not happen. I do not take offense to their prayers. I kind fo feel sorry for them as i believe that I know better. I believe that when I die, I will simply die. They energy being used by me will then be used elsewhere. They do not believe the same so, in order to feel better about the situation, they pray for my "soul". There is no harm in what they are doing. Their prayers are not rubbing off on me. they feel like they are doing a good thing and I am flattered that they would do such a thing.

Actually, I've requested a couple times for them all to get their prayer groups together and pray that I will become a Christian. I thought that might be kind of a fun way to show them just how worthless their prayers are.

I think they all hate me too much to try that, though. :)

I'm not only praying for you, but I forgive you and I Love You....Keep trying to stop chrisitianity in a Yahoo answers forum. That'll get you somewhere. Ruffling the feathers of a few mis-informed christians must really be helping the plight of the punies.

Still, I'm prayin' for you in Jesus' name.

Do you have a wife? If you do how did you get married? Was there a priest present? Don't get me wrong I'm not preaching to you but sometimes Athiests don't realize how much they depend on our traditions. And like you never thanked GOD for anything, I find that hard to believe.

So mote it be.

Uh no.
You clearly don't understand what being an atheist means. It means we reject the childish and utterly false notion that any such magical sky-pixie exists.
So we don't waste our time in prayer. Try and understand that.

I offer my stoic support of your suggestion in an unbiased, well-reasoned and secular way in accordance with my own particular beliefs.

Well I guess it would be a waste of time. Their prayers aren't being listened to anyway.
