We cannot be judges of any man's life regardless of what we know about them. The Scripture condemns those who judge by warning them that they will be exposed to the exact same standards they judged others with. I will say that I'm sorry for the loss of your coworker. As for his soul, if his relationship with God was what it should be, he'll be fine! But like I said, only the coworker and God will know that.

Right. This man definatley will not be going to heaven, He might have been a good man while living, but if he denied Jesus he will go to hell (and if you believe that there is a Heaven, than you must surely believe in hell). Scripture says that the only way to God is through his son, Jesus Christ, and through him alone (John 14:6). It does'nt matter what good works you do here on earth, if you believe in the Father, but not the Son, you can never make it to heaven. The Jewish faith teaches that Jesus was not the Messiah, and this is a sin.(John 16:8,9). Those who have sinned, not repented, and died in that sin will never see heaven (me included). If you truly liked this man, than you would pray for his soul.

No, your coworker who died is sleeping in death, and his hope is in a (near) future ressurection here on earth. Whether he will be restored to life again is up to Jesus Christ.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."
John 5:28-29 “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out"
Acts 24:15 “I have hope toward God, which hope these men (that is, the Jews back then) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

yes, because in his bible (the tora, I think) there is only the ot, not the nt, which is after jesus i think. jesus wasn't the son yet, right, so it depends which bible you use.
jesus was Jewish, right? didn't christianity start out as a form of judiasm until after jesus died? this is probs not accurate sorry. But still, i mean God wasn't about to refuse his own "son" into heaven right? Because if you don't go to heaven you go to hell.
Also, aren't jewish people the "chosen people" or something? doesn't the bible say you go to hell (or are tortured, or punished otherwise) if you discriminate against jews because of this? If god didn't let your friend into heaven, he would be a hypocrite.
I was taught that if you are a good person and don't hurt people you go to heaven; if you are bad you go to hell. i'm sorry for your loss, but don't feel bad, because you know he went to heaven.

in fact, it is simple. First religion revealed by Moïse: Judaism.
Deliver Saint: Thorah. Thus all the Jews having followed correctly their religion (at that time) will go to the Paradise. Second religion: Christianity revealed by Jesus. Deliver Saint: The Bible. All the Christians having followed correctly their religion will go to the Paradise. However, during his life, Jesus announced the arrival of the last Prophet (Mahomet) and said, in this connection: "Will come, after me, the last Prophet, listen to what it has to say to you and trust him, it will thus carry out you to the Paradise", Islam came to correct, supplement and perfect the preceding religions, it became, to some extent the official religion of God. Because God said, on this subject, "each people will be judged according to his Holy Book", until the arrival of Islam. after the birth of Islam, the other religions were, to some extent, cancelled to leave place with Islam. It is what explains the many reconversions of Christianity towards Islam. As for the atheists, even the benefactors, will go in Hell. God grants to them, certainly the richnesses material and terrestrial (what explains why the Western countries are "advances some" compared to the Moslem countries), the first condition to return to the Paradise being to believe in the unicity of God. They will perish in a Burning Fire, conscious of their pain, eternally.

According to the christian bible, he's going to hell.
Isn't that nice? You can be any kind of filthy scumbag all your life and get into heaven if you recant on your deathbed and take "jesus as your saviour" but live a decent life, do good works and don't even hear about this particular myth and zoom, straight to the flames with you.
It's utterly ludicrous.

The right wing Nazi American version of Christianity scares me.. Why are you people so harsh? Fundamentalism is dangerous, no matter what religion you believe in..
Jesus was a loving and forgiving man, son of a loving caring father who wants all the best for the world he created.. That is my version of him at least.. He loves us, and if we are good human beings, who love our next of kind, show humility and grace and do his work on earth . I seriously doubt that God will let us go to the pit of eternal flames.. (I don't believe in hell at all..)
Of course your friend will go to heaven!! God is in us, in what we do and how we live - not in what church/mosque/synagogue we go to..
I'm sorry for your loss.

Since the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary, only those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their savior will be in heaven. Jewish people, who do not believe in Jesus, do not go to heaven.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend and co-worker.

Correct. If he had heard of Jesus and refused to believe, then he does not have Jesus' promise of salvation and will be judged according to his actions. Since all men sin, it is unlikely he will make it to heaven.
