Neo Cons!

2006-07-05 12:13:50 · answer #1 · answered by go_to_girl 3 · 0 4

I think the only factors are internal. I think that we are so in control of our existence here that everything in our world mirrors our own beliefs and thought patterns. The only limits in the world are limits we put upon ourselves - by feeling like an opportunity is not open to us or that we don't fit in with a particular group of people or even that wealth is a bad thing.

Money is the root of all evil is a very popular belief. I wonder what we could do if we could eliminate that thought in our species. Can you imagine a whole planet full of people free to thrive and prosper? Free to do what they want to in a day instead of having their day filled with what they HAVE to do, just to survive? (Maybe that is why it is there - because so many of us would do nothing if there was nothing we HAD to do.)

Our own self doubt and negative emotions and beliefs are the only things that limit our own potential in this world.

Peace!

Yes probably the biggest inhibiting factor of people is the belief that the fear about the un known must be conquered by finding answers to the un known. This is often through religious or spiritual prayer and beliefs which drag a person blindly into a faith, which promotes contempt for other people and and love for those who are similar. It does not allow the embracing of people of all creeds religions or back grounds. This limits greatness because it limits interactions.

yes, extenal factors, your gender, women face many social, political. legal, and financial limitations because they do not have external genitals ,and are the wrong gender depending on where they live in the world, some countries are more limiting than others, also regardless of gender if you are born in the outcaste system of Japan or India, you are not worthy to live in society, will most likely have full blown aids by the time you are 17 and be part of the child porn sextrafficking industry this external factor of being born to the wrong parents severely limited any potential for success or happiness for these individuals, internally lack of critical thinking skills or unwillingness to use them, refusal to accept responsibility for all that is wrong or right in your life and world rather than act like a helpless miserable whiner who remains part of the problem is severely limiting, as well as clinging to dogma for dear life and living by excess rather than moderartion can significantly hinder ones potential for greatness

Most of the internal/external forces work against us. By the time we become adults we are already contaminated. We think we have to learn something new to get better, but what's needed is UN-learning. To purify ourselves we don't need something new, we need to dump the baggage to discover our true selves. On the positive side, within us is the DSL link to the source of all knowing, aka The Force or God. Conscience! Intuition! It's always there, guiding. But in our Pride we escape.

For the most part, I feel that any limitations that I have are created by myself. If I could just get out of my own way, I would be a much more successful person.

Sin. But since I have Jesus, he takes that away and gives me my full potential for greatness and continues to help me develop into the human being he created me to be.

Your unwillingness to understand that you are a created being and God created you. If you can't even acknowledge that you are more than just flesh and blood then you severely limit your potential for becoming more than you are today.

Total depravity. It's a Calvinistic concept. We are all born sinners and we cannot reach perfection on our own. Only through Christ's death and resurrection can we be allowed to be called God's heirs (the ultimate (and ultimately, the only) greatness).

My biggest constraint, as far as I can see, is fear and lack of trust.

My external factors stem from my childhood - which of course I internalized.

Thankfully, both are possible to overcome.
