Spiritually I've read a lot of books on religion in the past few months, trying to feed the mind with knowledge.

I am 58 years old. My 4 children are doing great! I have a goal that is unattainable, but I keep on striving for "Spiritual and Moral Perfection." I know that I will never get there. The Joy is in the Journey.
Peace and Love, my friend.

I don't feel I have any real major goal... I have debt like every other American but now it is only my residence & my cars (got rid of the credit cards years ago.. no plastic here), I went to college, I have a husband and family I love and I have a job I love.

I suppose if I had to have a goal it would be just dealing with what I will hear in an oncologists report on friday; whatever happens no matter how it comes back it will then be my goal to deal with that.

Material and spiritual: Trying to be the kind of wife my husband needs me to be and God wants me to be.

Trying to not worry about finances (because worrying is a sin stemming from not trusting God to take care of me).

Making my house (a big brick late-19th century farmhouse) into a home, and at the same time, trying not to worry that I won't get it right or good enough or homey.

Trying to decide if what I previously thought God was calling me to do (write and paint) is still His calling for me now that I'm married.

Seems like all the material things we do ultimately fall under the spiritual umbrella as well.

Personally, I'm in the throws of a promised "outreach" (a pact I'd made with my now deceased friend, colleague, & co-founder... it centers around a technology that has the potential impact similar to that of genetics research. We promised ourselves to help protect the public interests by working to increase awareness if we manage to find success in our endeavors. The trouble is this: even the "intuitive model" is a "conceptual onslaught," and most simply lack the desire, time, commitment or energy to internalize the model which could be of great aid to them in their daily lives. Having people internalize this model is secondary to the increasing of awareness & the sense of urgency that I feel with regards to this load of esoterica. Whatever else stands in the way of this effort is just part "Murphy's Law" doing its ever-present thing! Suffice to say, we stand on the threshold of - moreover, our grandchildren will live in - a brave new world! How all this turns out for them is up to the society's collective wisdom and willingness to reach viable concenses prior to the advent of this technology. So you see, each has a cross to bear... whether they asked for it or not.

My god... .You asked a question. A real question. One that other people are capable of responding to rationally rather than reacting to blatant provocation.

... Are you sure you're feeling well?

I don't know what to say... I'm flabbergasted. I wanna be part of this monumental moment in your life by answering this question but... wow...

... Give me a few minutes. This is gonna take some getting over.

Continue my own education
Figure out upcoming career & life transition (within the next year will have to change jobs, country of residence, everything)
Figure out meaning of life & where I belong
Face up to my spiritual dilemmas and define my beliefs
And the list goes on....

I am starting to finish my education, if that makes sense and I am spiritually trying to find out what my part should be in fixing the world.
