I would say plenty of gentle walking. I have a similar condition and really the drs have said that walking is the best form of exercise for this. So get your walking boots on and get out there! (",)

Try doing Calisthenics. Calisthenics is basically just a type of exercise consisting of a variety of simple movements usually performed without weights or other equipment that are intended to increase body strength and flexibility using the weight of your own body for resistance. Such as push-ups, pull-ups, squats, and sit-ups. There are tons more you can find on the web but these should help tone your body and make you sweat a little.

I have almost the same knee condition. I hired a PT thru my gym, pretty cheap $48 a session. He has me doing excersises first to strengthen my ligamants in my legs before we do anything else. No running or lunging. Yoga is great to do to build the flexability back that you probly lost when you were down after surgery

The right exercise is truly the one you will DO every day for at least 30 minutes. I suggest you talk with your physical therapist to find exercises that don't hurt your knee.
