Christian:
1. Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
2. Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.
3. Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
4. Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
5. Showing a loving concern for others; humane.

I also believe a Christian is someone who continues to walk with the Lord. They don't just believe, but they also do good works and show people what being a Christian is all about.

The term Christian comes from the Roman word which means "little Christ's". Christians are to be Christ like, we are to follow His example on how He would do things. He has given us really good examples in the Bible. We are turn the other cheek, put others needs before ours, support each other, prayer for one another, and forgive each other.

We will never be prefect at this because this side of heaven we are living in a world of sin. We struggle each day and sometimes minutely with doing the right thing. As Christians we confess that we have messed up and then go with the Lord.

The name given by the Greeks or Romans, probably in reproach, to the followers of Jesus. It was first used at Antioch. The names by which the disciples were known among themselves were “brethren,” “the faithful,” “elect,” “saints,” “believers.” But as distinguishing them from the multitude without, the name “Christian” came into use, and was universally accepted. This name occurs but three times in the New Testament (Act_11:26; Act_26:28; 1Pe_4:16).
Christan is the one who follows Christ in a strict way without turning back.
The Christians originally called themselves “Disciples,” a term afterward restricted to personal hearers of the Lord, and regarded as a title of high distinction. The ordinary self-designations of the apostolic age are “believers” (Act_5:14; 1Ti_4:12), “saints” (Act_9:13, Act_9:12, Act_9:41; Rom_1:7), “brethren” (Act_6:3; Act_10:23, etc.), “the elect” (Col_3:12; 2Ti_2:10), “the church of God” (Act_20:28 margin), “servants (slaves) to God” (Rom_6:22; 1Pe_2:16). The apostolic authors refer to themselves as “servants (slaves) of Christ Jesus” (Phi_1:1). Other expressions are occasionally met with, of which perhaps the most significant is: Those “that call upon the name of the Lord” (Act_9:14; Rom_10:12, Rom_10:13; 1Co_1:2).

A Christian, by definition, is a follower of Christ.

Biblically, a Christian is a part of Christ's body, the church (Colossians 1:18) through obeying the gospel and being baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:27; Romans 6:3-5).

There are many people who call themselves Christians, but do not do what He has commanded (Luke 6:46); they are not Christians, no matter what they call themselves (Matthew 7:23).

"kyleissuper" was spot on, using the exact words I would have.

The problem with christian is that many will deny others are christian. There are two reasons for this:
1. Christian "A" doesn't do what christian "B" wants.
2. Christian "A" does what christian "B" doesn't want.

Because one christian won't follow another's rules, or because a christian does things others find offensive (the nazis were christians, so are the KKK) christians will deny that the other people are christians.

Throw out almost all dictionary definitons. "christian" is a word that, to most all the world, has been so distorted and misused as to be meaningless. Except in some broad scense of someone who believes in God and someone called Jesus. To those few who truly strive to live acording to the teachings of Jesus The Christ, Christian would be more properly rendered , one who follows The Christian Faith. There are relatiively few followers of The Christian Faith.
The majority of those the world classifies as "christian" are not, in fact, followers of The Teachings of Jesus The Christ. Many 'believe" they are christian because of some man made doctrin or dogma they have been taught to follow. But, nothing of man can qualify anyone as a follower of the Christian Faith. You can not be born in to it. You are not one just because of where you live. You are not one just because you say you are. You are not one because you were "baptized" as an infant. Only God dertermins who is truly of The Christian Faith.

If you are of The Christian Faith you know it because of God's Word.

praise be to Allah Haraam is that for which the fellow who does it's going to be punished and the fellow who abstains from it's going to be rewarded, if the reason behind his abstinence is following the prohibition of Allaah. 'i have self belief such issues as " love"(charm to the alternative gender) is haram too(mutually with loving your own spouse/husband).because it wil under no circumstances benifit me contained in the hereafter, considering its not a kind of worship. And it makes you overlook about Allah and hereafter.Noone is worth of having extra interest then Allah!' second part of your question: You misunderstood! Islam teaches us to be straightforward and sensible. often, we adore because of Allah and we hate because of Allah. Islam teaches us that a male and woman can construct up a superb courting in conserving with marriage. All those thoughts of media and action pictures are literally not effective to make someone adjust to the teachings of Islam. we do not say love is halal or haram because it really is a feeling. perhaps it really is not less than administration. you could choose what's less than administration. yet those who fall in love are in a large number of episodes far flung from the cleansed and organic environment. Marriages that are often solid and lasting marriages are those that commence on the least affection. That affection grows after marriage and probably it really is going to advance until eventually the couples proceed their companionship on the Jannah. And Allah is acquainted with the excellent! Jazakallah!

Christ = Messiah = anointed one. Simon Peter said, " Yeshua, You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God." Jesus said, " I will name you a Peter (Petros = Piece of the Rock larger than a stumbling stone), for on this Rock (Petra = mass rock) I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail. (Matthew16:15-20)

Christian = Christ nation. Christians are those saved by the Blood of the Lamb from every tribe & nation. They have got on the Salvation Rock by confessing Jesus Christ Lord & believing in their heart Jesus rose from the dead. He is the High Priest of His Church. His Priesthood is an everlasting Priesthood. Because He paid for our sins once and for all. (Romans, Hebrews, Revelations1:5,6)
