Why do they when you order pizza there is a little white plastic lookin table in the middle of the pizza. What exactly is that for?

Keeps the slices from moving about as its delivered, otherwise you will have folded up pieces of your pizza pie. I miss Selena too....amor prohibido

The little white plastic looking table is a little wonder which lifts the lid of the pizza box and does not allow the toppings & cheese to touch the inner side of the lid.
If the little wonder is missing, then few toppings & melted cheese stick to inner side of the lid n spoil the fun.

It is suppose to keep the box lid from sticking to the hot cheese on top of the pizza.

The purpose is to be able to serve your tiny friends. A standard 16 inch pizza will serve about 200 of them, but they will need to eat in waves. And you will need to cut the pizza into small bites.

They can make the card board in the box thinner and still not have it touch the pizza. It saves them money in the long run and allows them to use a cheaper box.

I have seen them before, but the pizza place I go to doesn't offer those. That pizza place is kinda bootleg, but the pizza rocks.
