Wouldn't it be far more embarrasing to defecate and pass wind through your mouth. And I thought garlic breath was bad!

It is unlikely that a reversal would work well. You swallow food which is digested by stomach acids which then passes to the intestines that neutralize the acids and work in an alkaline environment to absorb nutrients into the blood. That would not work in reverse. Also your embarrassement might be even worse "reversed."
