There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

If any one could there wouldn't be any differential in it. Everyone has their own view of the meaning of love. And some sound familiar or the same but they aren't. You have your own definition of love and that is how you see it and may not be the same as what others are willing to offer

Love is a stronger word for liking some one but love is a warmth in your heart and feelings for some one you really like. LOVE is the desire to give your heart to someone that you know and can't live without.

Well as I have answered this question before, I will say it again. Love is a feeling and it has different meanings for different people. So you have to seek out your own meaning for it.

love is only the drug you feel from not being alone, and the ability to apreciate something as it wants to be not becuase it is what you want.
an artist loves art
an artist cant love his own art, for it is only him apreciating himself so therefore he loves himself

love is the psychological, emotional, phsical and spiritual connection with someone of the same or opposite sex. it is the deepest friendship you will ever know with someone you did not share womb with.
