i know i can use the adobe site to create PDF files. However, I have to save my work as and RTF, and when I try and save my MS publisher document as RTF, it says "can only save text. would you like to save only text? or press cancel and select pub. option". i don't want to lose my work. ideas?

You should be able to set up the adobe pdf as a printer on your computer (even for the online version or so says their website). If you do that, you should be able to print ANY document you produce in any program to the pdf distiller.

I have the software program on my desk and that's exactly how it works. According to the Adobe website, you can do the same with the online version of the program.

Can you save as a MSWord doc? There are free Word to Adobe PDF converters out there.

Also, some websites do it for a few cents a page.

Sadly, Publisher isn't a very robust piece of software. Consider using the free office suite, Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org which will allow you to save to .pdf format.
