I don't want you all think this is all about money. I will be honest, money problems is a major part of what been getting me down lately. Let's face it, not having enough money to get through the week is depressing, but believing that it will fix everything is not realistic. What will make me happy, secure and fulfilled is 1. Having a better relationship with GOD. Without him, I will achieve nothing. 2. Being financial secure. Having enough money to pay my bills, put some in savings, and some left for me. I am not asking to become OPRAH, but I am tired of living paycheck to paycheck, wondering if I have enough to buy food in the house. 3. To get off my butt and do something with my life. I feel I am in the situation I am in now because I did stupid things i my youth, and I am not where I want to be in life. I need discipline, motivation, desire, passion to get what I want out of life. I need to find what GOD wants me to do in life, I just need to find it.

This will sound corny, but I say a relationship with God (and others). In the past I focused on education, job and money. I was successful. It didn't make me happy, secure and fulfilled. No matter how much I acchieved I was never satisfied and only wanted more. I was worried about losing it all after seeing others lose it. I started focusing on relationships. I'm more happy, secure and fulfilled. Who would of thought I would find more security in relationships than I would in money

Let's see what would make me happy is making enough money or finding someway to support my family so that none of us ever have to work another day in our lives and we can just enjoy life and not have to do the rat race and daily life. Security for me would be financial. I have a man who I love and who takes care of me so I don't worry about that. Fulfillment would be to someday get married, move out of my parent's house and have children. Living with my beloved to a ripe old age would fulfill me

I need to be financially secured to an extent that I do not have to worry about paying bills. I do not need to rich, but I need to have enough so there is some left over to enjoy. I haven't been this way in over 10 years, and I do know when I was financially secure I recall not letting too many problems bother me ... and I seemed to enjoy relationships more, etc.

deciding i was ok... for me i would always try and put a condition on my happieness, i will be happy when X happens (i got a girlfriend, i got more money,im in great shape). the fact of the matter is those arent things that make you happy, its something that you have to decide... wether your gonna be blown around by the random events of life, or if you want to maintain a reasonable level of contentment.
btw, i also have alot of goal, many of them financial, but i never really appreciated them, or achieving them while i was making them a condition of being happy, because the second i achieved one, id replace it with a bigger one and make my happiness conditional on that... you only get one life, live it and enjoy it.. grab it by the balls if you will and ride it to town, but dont spend it chasing after this goal or that before you could feel good about yourself and your life

As a generalisation, there are 6 categories for fulfillment (it's actually different for everyone, but these are a good rule of thumb) ..
- health
- spirituality
- family & friends
- relationship / spouse
- career
- finances.
A lot of people tend to get caught up in one or two..eg "when i make $$$ i'll be happy, or when i get my promotion, or when i get married" ... but then the "when" happens, and they realise they're happy for a little while, but then unhappy again ... you need to focus on the whole lot and work towards getting them all up there - and pushing yourself towards setting and striving for goals in all your areas ...
