Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

There's the healthy-person answer and the unhealthy-person answer.

Being a recovering anorexic and bulimic I can tell you right now I was able to lose a pound to half a pound a day eating nothing but a sugarfree oatmeal for breakfast, a Diet Pepsi for lunch, a Diet Coke for a snack, a 50-calorie high-fiber diet "tortilla" of sorts that Jewel Osco says and some salsa on it, and a 90 calorie nonfat yogurt before bed. That's about 250 calories a day. I didn't exercise. I looked ridiculous, like a charicature of a person, or a Pez Dispenser, just a head and twiggy limbs. I was 16 and I had to wear training bras for 10 year old girls because there was no body left to speak of.

When I was treated there were women AND men in the clinic who used overexercising as an eating disorder. When you exercise it is a way of "purging" calories from your body, almost like vomiting - let's say you have a burger and fries for lunch, at a local ma and pa joint. That's tops about 800 calories. If you do a treadmill vigorously for 2 and a half hours afterwards you should be able to burn it all off. However, if you use vigorous, nonstop exercise to constantly "cancel out" what you just ate, it's an eating disorder just like if you were to throw it all up to "get rid of calories".

Depending on your height, weight, age and gender you need 1600 - 2800 calories a day to maintain your weight and to lose weight you should optimally cut out 500 calories at most from diet, and that includes calories lost by exercise, last I checked.

You *can* lose quite a lot ... although the answer is very hard to say without knowing what you weigh now, and whether that is mostly muscle or fat...

If you're a woman (?), I strongly suggest you don't lose more than 1kg a week over a long term diet. In the first few weeks, this is likely to be closer to 2kg. The reasoning being that most people, if they lose more than 1kg a week, are losing it in water and muscle rather than fat... although if you're working out 5 hours a day, you'll probably find that you will lose more... although keeping it off at the end will be another thing..

You can safely lose 20 lbs in 10 weeks but you may not lose the numbers with the amount of exercise you are proposing. If you build muscle, it will weigh more than the fat but it is leaner and takes up less room, so clothing will fit looser and you will feel harder.

Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
