I was 18. I wish I had waited for the right girl. The first night I was away a college, an older girl picked me up at a college mixer. She took me back to her apartment.
I knew all about the anatomical aspects of sex, but very little else. She didn't know that I didn't know and, well, it was disappointing for both of us.
Had I waited for someone special, I think it would have been much better. But, I have to admit that's a "what if".
