I know this may sound crazy, but here it goes: I've known since the day i was born that i was going to be a writer, it's my goal in life. I've read several times over i needed to practice during my early years, adn so i have. Well, right now i'm working on something that I'd like to publish. I don't think it will be the"next big thing", but I think people would enjoy reading it, and that' a writers purpose, isn't it? I'm only 15, but my mind is a few years wiser. If any one has any advice for me, I'd really apreciate it!!! my email is boyzaremade4me@yahoo.com

Write at least 3 chapters of the book or whatever it is you are working on, though having it completed is the best idea. Then go online and find publishing companies. Submit it to as many publisher as possible, and keep submitting until you find one that will accept the responsibility to publish your work upon completion. My grandfather got his 2 books published at iUniverse, Inc. so you can search for them and I think they'll publish it if you pay.

It may be to your benefit to learn Adobe InDesign. It's a publishing program that professionals use to layout documents such as magazines, books, and other publications. You can download a free 30-day trial of the latest version from Adobe's website. Good luck to you.

I started my college career in computer media, but decided to pick up a concentration in writing. InDesign is somewhat complicated (and very complicated if you decide to write a book), but you'll get the hang of it. Good luck.

Is it a book? Fiction/Non? Is it a poetry? Short story?

If it's a short story, I suggest you join writers forums (where other writers can critique your work) then when it's good and ready, submit it.

Go for it--just do it.

best!
