I have this guy friend who just started working at this local restaurant in our hometown. Before and since he started there's this busboy that he just desires like crazy. The problem is once he found out after only working there two days that the guy had a girlfriend that also works there it just broke his heart plus when he saw the next day how she keeps coming around her boyfriend continously bothering him while on the job it justs really bothers my guy friend alot especially when he saw them talking and having fun together in the kitchen. I've tried to tell my guy friend not to dwell on it and if on the rare chance it does happen that the guy will dump his girlfriend and fall madly in love for him then it will happen but don't continue to let it bother you because soon you're going to go crazy and there's no telling what you might do. He still is keeping faith that one day soon the guy will fall for him and want him. The reason I came on here was to get another person's perspective.

Well, first of all does not sound like this other guy is gay. I would suggest instead of waiting for him to dump his girlfriend, move on to someone that likes you instead of trying to convert someone to your ways. Women have found this out already.....it never works in your favor.....so just move on to someone that swings the same way you do.

You can't make someone love you and that's the long short and tall of it. I had a friend who used to be a chef and he used to work up to 16 hrs a day and so I know how hard it is to find someone when you're in a position like that. It is also more common to lust after someone in the workplace if they don't get enough social interaction. They've only known each other for a short time and I see no evidence of the other guy recipricating the love based on what you've written. Your friend might need to just get away from work a bit and realize there plenty of fish in the sea.
Remind your friend that there are herrasment laws and stuff to consider as well. I'd hate for him to loose his job because he won't let go. So I'd say to him let it pass. I'm sure he'll find someone else.

sad - not that your friend is gay and wants a straight guy to fall for him but sad in the way he is hoping for two people to end a relationship so he will be happy. I would say the same if your friend wasn't gay. To set your dreams up for failure is sad in itself and your friend should really get a grip and look in others places to find someone who is also looking instead of waiting in a place he has no business in to begin with. I hope he doesnt try and break this couple up because that is just wrong.

Okay, so your guy friend likes this other guy who has a girlfriend. Is the dude who has a girlfriend bi? If he's straight there's really no point, but if he is, then I guess your friend should just wait it out but always be really sweet. But don't let him flirt a lot unless the dude breaks up with his girlfriend. Good luck to your friend!

Hmm... I feel really bad for him
i dunno if there is anything to do... except be there for him, he probably needs you to help him through it, because honestly, i don't think a guy who has a girlfriend will fall for another guy. But you never know... it might happen. And telling someone in love not to dwell on it, never helps. Maybe he should dwell on it, and fantasize about it. To get it out of his system. Just don't let him do anything crazy... Don't know if this'll help. Good Luck.

my best advice for your friend is to go and talk to him don't say you know him gay or i like you just become friends with him and then when they become best friends then you go and tell him im gay and see how he feels
