First, you should see a physcological doctor. They always evaluate people who want to get a sex change. You would have to meet all requirements mentally as well as physically before you could even begin the basic hormonal injections.
After that, they will take it from there. The entire process would take a minimum of about 1 year. And for some... as long as 5 years. It all depends on how you handle it mentally and physically as a human begin.

Sorry to see you've had such poor advice so far hon.
It is a lengthy processbut it has good results if you really are suitable for it, and by that I mean you are transsexual rather than suffering from any number of differential diagnoses including fetishism, psychosis etc.
The first step is to find a counsellor specialising in gender dysphoria. They are often private although in the UK some work with the NHS (referral via a GP).
They will also refer you to a psychiatrist who will evaluate you and, when satisfied about the diagnosis, start hormone therapy.
You then have to live as a woman for at least a year (in some countries for 2 years) to demonstrate you can function socially as a woman and hold down a job and cope with life. Believe me, the operation is the easy part compared with that and don't mistake that the SRS will not make it easier to pass which is why you must be comfortable with how well or badly you pass first. Facial surgery and breast augmentation will help as will electrolysis to reduce hair growth, speech therapy and counselling (do not underestimate these steps).
After that, if you are suitable, the pyschiatrist will approve you for SRS and get a second opinion to verify that diagnosis.
Only then will a specialist sex change surgeon (usually a urologist or a plastic surgeon) consent to perform the irreversible genital reassignment on you.
Go for it girl, ignore the bigotted comments you've had to deal with here. You can do, and, if you are TS; then you will have to. You have no choice, it will not go away however much you try and deny it.

if it is something that you truly want then do it. there are numerous surgerires for the physical aspects of it. But if you truly want to be a female then you already are. It is how you think of yourself, your mind set that truly makes you what you are. Just remember if you do this you will suffer great criticism. Always remember you are beautiful no matter what people say and don't let them get you down. Good luck!!!

If you seriously feel this is the right thing for you, then you need to first find a plastic surgeon that will perform the surgery. I hope you have a lot of money, this is a very expensive surgery!

You would have to start counseling. And then if they see it fit you would start hormone injections along with living everyday for a year as the opposite sex. Once all is complete and you have had all your psych evaluations. Then you would set up appointments for sex change reassignment.

Chopping off your johnson is a one-way trip. I'd think about it first. Maybe you just need drugs?
