The casinos closed along with State parks, beaches and historic sites also were expected to shut down Wednesday.

Atlantic City's 12 casinos, which require state monitoring, have waged a court battle to remain open, and an appeals court was weighing the matter Sunday. There was no word on when a ruling would be made, courts spokeswoman Winnie Comfort said.

The casinos are closed and the state lottery is shut down because they can't pay the lottery workers and casino inspectors (state workers). The guards at the jails are still working, but they're not getting paid for it.

I don't know about Point Pleasant, but if there's anything there that would be regulated by the state (casino inspectors, state park employees, etc.) then those parts might not be open. The stores and restaurants will probably be open though.

the casinos are closed because there is no state budget, and the state monitors for the casinos can't work. If the lifeguards etc. on the beach are state employees, I'd expect it to be closed. If it has local employees,,,maybe not, unless they get funding from the state to pay lifeguards and so on.

From what I understand yes it is. Isn't it amazing how the politicians that we elect think it's OK to play with peoples liberties and freedoms because of just plain stupidity? Remember this next election day.

attempt Keansburg. it really is 20-0.5-hour closer than PP. i am going to't communicate for what's there although. not in any respect been there in my opinion. The extra you bypass south, the extra acceptable the seashores, and coastline-goers.
