I just got out of a 3 1/2 year relation ship and There was another girl, well ill just use random name, jenny and ellen. Ellen was my girlfriend for 3 1/2 years when i realized i was in love with her happiness but not her. Ive been friends with jenny for 2 years but thing started going further than they should be with friends.
I iddnt cheat on ellen but i did break up with her, Now jenny doesnt know if shes ready to be in a relationship. And if she is mabey not with me.
What can i do? Why is she afraid to let me love her? How can i make her happy if every step i take she feels is me pressuring her?

sounds odd to me. just give her time and be honest with her. and try not to push her away.

Because she has always see you as a friend and nothing else, and the excuse that you were in a relationship ws perfect for you to be there for her and for her not to be involved with you.
Because she was only teasing you and you acted on it but she has no real interest in you, just wanted your attention, nothing else, and now that you are NOT in a relationship anymore, she is trapped telling you YET ANOTHER EXCUSE what she should NOt be with you in an romantic relationship.
Who loves doesn't make excuses, and you know it.
Now you lost the dog and the leash. Sorry dude.

Give her all the time she needs and but don't disappear. Call and hang out, do things you did before and after awhile trying asking again. If then she says she still needs time, she might just be stringing you along.

Maybe she doesnt think of you as a boyfriend anymore, because she thinks you guys would be better friends then boyfriend girlfriend.

talking from experience i think she is not ready. she is not sure if u r the one. just give her sometimes maybe she 'll realize it later or sooner.
