Yes. Every year, at least a million people around the world die of malaria. This has been going on for a long time. Since we banned DDT in the sixties, almost fifty million more people have died. That is more people even than those who have died of aids!

In countries where DDT was used, they reported over 90 percent reduction in cases of malaria. No substitute insecticide has worked nearly as well. They protested when it was banned and kept using it until their reserves were used up.

Yet, because it MIGHT harm other species, we accepted MILLIONS of deaths of other human being-- our own kind--mostly children...!

Rachel Carson and the others who promoted the elimination of DDT have caused more deaths than Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin and Saddam Hussein put together! They have a lot to answer for. I don't see why they are considered benefactors of the human race. It is only other species that they have benefited.

I suppose that on the day of judgment, they will say "But I didn't mean that!!!!" and expect to be let off.

Yes...Bring back Chlordane now! Need I say anymore than I am a home owner who watches his domicile being eaten away by termites? There are no lasting chemicals today that will protect a home made of wood. So what if a few carcinogens accidental leak into the water supply...worse things have happened. By the time we are affected by this stuff, North Korea will have started WW III so all the EPA concerns will have been for naught anyway...but I want my house to remain intact, not a pile of termite doodoo on my lawn. Good Luck
