I read all these posts and see common spelling mistakes from Christians and perfect grammar and spelling from atheists and agnostics. I guess your god must not teach you how to spell.

Well, homie, sorry to burst your bubble.

You can look at my Q&A and see that none of my questions or answers use incorrect language. ("we will see about this") Oh, and I'm a christian, too. (Christian denotes a believer of Jesus Christ which is capitalized therefore you have made one grammatical mistake) I have a question for you... (There should not be ellipses here, just a period and a new sentence) Why do you write such insulting things just because other people believe things that are different than your point of view? Why can't people just try to get along? All "Christians" are not the same. I never write insulting things about Atheists. (Atheists should not be capitalized) People say "Oh, just because I'm an Atheist (again lowercase please) doesn't mean I have no morals" (I believe you mean don't have any morals) I had to cut the last part out, but you generally end a sentence with a period not ellipses.

I had always thought I was the only one to realize this. I always re-read my writing and edit as necessary in an effort to appear as polished and intelligent as I am, and I assume others do this as well. When one faces opposition it is the best defense to appear more intelligent than your opponents. Its possible, however, that Atheists and Agnostics are simply more intelligent and educated than the average Christian.

I'm not an atheist and I have great spelling and grammar. You can look at my Q&A and see that none of my questions or answers use incorrect language. Oh, and I'm a christian, too. I have a question for you... Why do you write such insulting things just because other people believe things that are different than your point of view? Why can't people just try to get along? All "Christians" are not the same. I never write insulting things about Atheists. People say "Oh, just because I'm an Atheist doesn't mean I have no morals" and I believed that and got along with them until I came on the site and saw your true heart. Bless you anyway, and I hope you have an open mind about what I'm saying...

You must be really religious then!

And that is definitely not true, I am religious, my mother tongue is NOT English, and I have excellent spelling and grammar skills...

You really had nothing better to ask, right? This question is so useless, you are trying to call religious people "ignorants" with such a lack of imagination. I guess God did not give you much of it, huh?

Better education and critical engagement with the facts = greater care and attention to things like spelling and grammar + the good sense to realize that all this nonsense about God and angels is just that. Little children can't spell properly, just as little children have invisible friends.

1. Atheism encourages education, religion dissuades people from it.

2. People with scientific backgrounds have better spelling and grammar due to the exactness of their fields. It is in arts and humanities - and bible study - where accuracy is not important that you find people's words and grammar ridden with errors.

Yes, we have better spelling and grammar. Your only mistake is we didn't learn from a god, we learned all by our self. We don't believe in God.

No, I never really noticed that. But then, I wasn't looking so hard for some reason to insult someone.

No, never noticed it.

Listen to LisaMarie, that's the kind of person I was trying to be when I was an atheist.

I am not one to put down anyone just because they believe differently than me....that said, I have noticed this.
