No, seems ok. My child sleeps about 11 hrs. at night with a nap at sitters, but when she was younger and home during the day she would sleep the same at night, and take a little nap in the am and one in the afternoon. On the weekends now she'll sleep all night and take one nap in the afternoon, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Your son seems just fine. But I also understand your worrying. I'm the kind of mom who still sneaks in every once in awhile to make sure she's still breathing!

My little boy is 13 months old also and he sleep from about 10 til 9:30 in the morning. He is a growing boy they need there rest. He also takes a nap about 12 or a lil before and then he will take one about 5 or 6. He is fine I would think my lil boy does not have the murmur but if you think he shouldn't be sleeping that much then ask your doctor next visit or just call up there.

That is completely normal.
"Now your baby is officially a toddler — but he still needs as much sleep as he did when he was younger. Until his second birthday, your child should get about 14 hours of sleep a day, 11 of those hours at night. The rest will come in nap form. He'll still need two naps at 12 months, but by the time he's 18 months old, he may be ready for a single hour-and-a-half to three-hour nap in the afternoon — a pattern he may follow until he's four or five."

Nope. This seems totally normal.

My daughter slept more than that -- dropped the morning nap at around 15 months, and sleeps like a log from 1:30 until 4 pm in the afternoon.

Here's a data point:

My son (almost three) sleeps from 8:00pm to 8:30am, and takes a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. When he was around 13 months old he had a similar schedule as what you describe.

Mine would sleep 12 hrs through the night and 2 two hour naps. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. But by 12 mo she was down to just one afternoon on that lasts like 2-3 hrs now. She is 22 mo. If you have any worries call you doctor. Its your child!!

I dont think it's excessive. At that age they normally sleep (if you are lucky) for about 12 hours at night and will take a nap for a couple of hours during the day. I think your son has normal sleep paterns. If you are still worried you should talk to your local nurse or doctor.
Best of luck..

My daughter sleeps from 8:00-7 or 8 and then has 2 two hour naps a day. I'm sure he's fine but bring it up at his next well check or sooner if you become overly concerned.

That is EXACTLY the schedule my 12 month old daughter is on!!

Her 10am nap is usually 1 hour or less.
Her 2pm nap is usually about 2+ hours.

And most nights she still wakes up in the middle of the night for a feeding.

But yeah.....Looks TOTALLY normal to me, because I'm living the same schedule!

Not at all...my son is 12 months and he goes to bed around 10pm (he's a night owl) and wakes up at 7:30/8a then takes a nap around 10/11a for 1.5 hours then another nap around 3pm. They need their sleep, I wouldn't worry!!
