None of this actually has to do with my belief in the validity of the bible and such. I believe regardless of this stuff. Also, most of this stuff has been happening for a very long time, but with the press as it is now, we hear about it more now.

You say alot of things and then ask a question, so I will answer the question.

Yes I believe the bible. No I do not fear hell because I know I will be with Jesus forever.

Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior are the ones going to heaven. Yes, you can do that before you die...but it's not a good idea to put it off. Are any of us sure we will have a "deathbed" and the time to confess our sins and accept Jesus?

By the way, being a Christian doesn't mean we never sin again. Even Paul said "the good I would do, I do not...the evil I would not do, I do". A Christian desires to follow the ways of Jesus...we don't always succeed, but when we ask, we are forgiven.

Actually, if you read through the old testament, you will see that there is nothing new on the earth.

We may have faster and more widespread ways to spread the news, but the news remains the same, only the names have been changed.

Yes, I believe the bible, No I am not Catholic, they are not CHristians, and up until about 25 years ago, would openly state that they werent. ( I know this, because I married a Catholic, and my Mother in Law still is practicing this type of worship to the pope)

My church attendance has increased over the years.

I have broken every commandment in my life, I am sure, because if I lust or murder in my mind, I am guilty.
Thank you Jesus for paying my debt on this!!!!

Let me start by saying this, The Bible tells that in the end times the world will destroy itself. All of these corrupt actions are just part of the second coming. Yes I believe in the Bible and its contents and yes I fear hell because it is a real place and yes Heaven is reserved for those who believe in Christ and repent but it does not matter where. God is always willing to listen and he is only a whisper away so he hears even the slightest call for forgiveness and help. This takes me back to a question I answered earlier, we are only human, no where close to perfect and sinning is part of life and that is why Jesus died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. If our sins could not be forgiven then Jesus came and died in vain and that in itself leaves little hope for those of us here on earth.

The world is a mess and it'll get worse.
Attendance is down.
All have sinned.
None of that changes His Word one jot or tittle.

- Yes I believe in the Bible.
- No I don not fear hell.
- Heaven is reserved for those in Christ - who else would want to be there?
- Yes one can repent on their deathbed, but what an utterly wasted life that would be!

Society is declining morally and thats fairly obvious. Church is a gathering of believers whether at a facility specified for that purpose or not. You can believe in the Bible and be a true believer and not attend a traditional church. They are nice for some things like having fellow believers to fellowship with and help each other in faith and other things, but it is not a requirement to regularly attend church gatherings.

Matthew 24:12 NIV •
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

Sound familiar. This is from the great 2nd Coming of Christ Chapter!

(and I am Roman Catholic AND a Christian)

Our society is certainly degrading. I believe in the Bible, I do not fear hell because I have been saved through Christ. Heaven is reserved for all who believe in Christ and repent, deathbead or any other time in a persons life.

First of all, dont clump us Christians in with the Catholics.
Catholics are not Christians. Maybe they were years ago, but they are not now.
Second of all, many of us do believe, and are fighting the fight.
God said it would get worse, before it got better.
We just have to stand up, and make our own choices. The fact that some of us can keep out heads about us during this time, says alot for the kind of strong faith some christians are walking around with.

Everything you speak of is the unfortunate product of our society's increasing liberalism (not talking politics here). It is also what saddens true Christians, because we are continually seeing those we love harming themselves in such ways as you describe.

I believe the Bible, and, more than fearing Hell itself, it hurts me to think of the many who choose that destination rather than eternal life with our heavenly father. Christ is the way, the truth, the life, and all you have to do is believe in Him, ask for the forgiveness of sins, and accept salvation. No one is perfect, but God doesn't expect perfection. As long as your heart truly accepts His grace, it doesn't matter how long you've waited to do so or what you've done in the past.
