Science isn't the answer! We already tithe to science: every time we take a pharmaceutical (medication), pay sales/property/income tax, buy a car or video game, we bow to the god of science. I'm quite confident that if you added up all the money spent on science versus the amount given to churches, science would win by a landslide. Besides, religion is not taught in the public schools, so science has a monopoly. Let's create a truly free society where people could study religion in public schools.

No. That is not okay. I went to college. I graduated with a B.A. in the arts and am doing very well. I also went ,and continue to go to Sunday school. I tithe 10% because that is what is required. I have no qualm about giving to science. That is a great way to help solve some of the issues today. But in no way does science replace God. So, you can have it both ways. Be educated. Be a scholar in academics and in the Bible. Respect science but honor God.

Expect your property taxes to go up to help support social services if that were to happen, not to mention state and federal taxes as well. As the money from tithes would no longer flow into the churches, they would be unable to continue with these social services to the poor, hence government would have to pick up the slack.

I'm in, but I think part of the Sunday school appeal is that it's free. College is too expensive for the misguided people who really need it the most. Oh well. poor substitute

Science is rendering organized religion obsolete to some extent. Please realize that religion isn't around for God it's around as a means of CONTROL. Without it many current civilizations (and I use the term loosley) would collapse into chaos beyond repair. It's unfortunate that religions can't simply rise above their respective dogmatic approaches to life/believeing and agree to disagree. SECULAR law is the law that should govern...not "God's(If there is one)/Religious.

I think you may be a little misled by your lack of spiritual research, science will never be able to discount God and religion helps people learn to be better people. Both are somewhat vital.

Well said I applaud you. If I had my way the children would go to school to learn the truth not the lies and science would be able to find more truth as it goes. Say no to jesus.

Yeah, you are absolutely right. For example - What is this "biblical creationism vs. evolution" debate anyway? It's more like ignorance vs. knowledge. What are some people trying to prove? Ignorance is better than knowledge?

I already do. God is going to lead us to salvation, if we want to hear him. Silly boy. Give up the attempt to figure out life. That isn't science that is faith sir.
