I called my rats Pinky & the Brain after the cartoon.
My brother called his budgie Frodo out of Lord of the Rings.
Personally, for a Doberman, I'd say Rasputin is a good solid name.

Depends on the sex but Trixy for a girl or Roper for a boy. Usually you can pick out all kinds of names but then totally change your mind when you see them, name them whatever they look like.
