Find out what types of jobs employers in your area can hire fifteen yr old's to do. There are some laws in place that say a fifteen yr old can't handle money etc in every state.

My nephew found a job at age 15 working for an upscale restraunt as a dishwasher. You can call a few places that you are interested in, maybe even places that you think might not be interested in you, and just inquire about the youngest age they hire and what do they hire the youngest ones to do.

Think past McDonald's and the other fast food places. Look at family restraunts that have bus boys and dishwashers or big office complexes that might hire a teenager to file, run errands, sort mail, etc.

When you call employers on the phone be polite and just ask youngest age they hire and what type of work they hire that age for (if they are hiring teens under 18). Once they answer, say thank you and make a note to apply or not apply there. Once you've finished calling places you can figure out where you want to go put in your applications at.

Generally businesses want someone that is at least 16. I would suggest starting your own business. Are you physically able to clean lawns? Can you clean up basements, do add jobs, mow lawns?

Remember, people will always pay for things they don't want to do. Do the dirty, tiring, junky jobs that most people don't like and you will make good money. Let the customers tell you what they will pay you for the job and usually they will offer more than you would have asked.

Find out if you can pass out flyers in your neighborhood and make some one page adds that tell what you will do. Make sure your parent know and approve of the places you go and make some money. You will only EVER become rich if you own your own business.

Good luck!

If you live in the city or a small crap town the best place you can look for a job is a fast food joint but don't stop there. I applied at a wireless store at age 16 and am now working all summer selling cell phones. Try your local cellular agents and ask if you are old enough to apply.
Best of luck!
